Scoring Rubric


Criteria 1: Content Connection - 30 Points

  • Project includes aspects of Health and/or Physical Education principles  (0-10)  
  • Information is clear and appropriate (0-5)  
  • Project connects to academic career and what is being learned in school (0-5)
  • Approach should be innovative and original and NOT COPIED from a book or other media source (0-5)
  • Project and construction should be neat, well organized, and show attention to detail (0-5)

 

Criteria 2: Critical Thinking/Thought Process - 30 Points

  • Project objective stated clearly with a well-defined explanation (0-10)
  • Project appropriately challenges skills of student (0-5)
  • Procedures developed precisely (0-5)
  • Project goes beyond basic facts and demonstrates higher-level thought (0-5)
  • Students applied what they learned to solve a problem (0-5)

 

Criteria 3: Technical Quality - 15 Points

  • Project well planned and developed (0-5)
  • Design elements relate to content and audience (0-5)
  • Design clearly conveys message (0-5)

 

Criteria 4: Creative Expression/Originality - 15 Points

  • Project compels the viewer to want to learn more (0-5)
  • Use of unconventional tools is encouraged (0-5)
  • Project is artistic and pleasing to the senses (0-5)

 

Criteria 5: Digital Citizenship - 10 Points

  • Research resources are clearly identified and credited on a Reference page using MLA (0-5)
  • Sources are credible and verifiable (0-5)
